Apple handles every payment, so cancelling and refunds follow Apple’s steps for subscriptions. Everything else, from which languages voice-following understands to getting a take back after a crash, is covered in the articles below.

How do I cancel my subscription?

In your iPhone’s Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Lightshot, then Cancel Subscription. Lightshot also has a Manage subscription button under Settings › Help and support. Deleting the app or your Lightshot account doesn’t cancel the subscription.

How do I ask for a refund?

Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases. In Lightshot, go to Settings › Help and support › Ask Apple for a refund, which opens Apple’s Report a Problem page at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Which languages does voice-following understand?

It depends on your iPhone and iOS version. Lightshot lists the languages your iPhone supports under Settings › Help and support, in Voice follow languages on this iPhone, and in the script editor’s Language menu. A language’s speech files may download the first time you use it.

What happens if Lightshot closes during a take?

Lightshot is designed to keep what it can. While you record, each part is written in two-second pieces, and the next time you open Lightshot it tries to save the unfinished take, says a take was recovered and offers a Show Takes button. The last moments before the app closed may be missing, and recovery hasn’t finished testing on physical iPhones, so play the ending before relying on it. A phone call or leaving the app pauses the take instead of ending it.

How do I delete my Lightshot account?

In Lightshot, go to Settings › Account › Delete account. You may be asked to sign in again first. Deleting the account signs you out everywhere, disconnects your social accounts, cancels scheduled posts and deletes any video waiting to post. It doesn’t cancel your App Store subscription. Your scripts and takes remain in that account’s folder on your iPhone, but another account, including a new one you create later, can’t open them, so save copies of anything you want to keep before deleting.

Does my subscription work on another iPhone?

Yes. The subscription belongs to your Lightshot account, and Lightshot’s server checks each purchase with Apple, so it works on every iPhone where you sign in to that account. Scripts and takes don’t move with it; they stay on the iPhone that made them.
