Before you delete

If you want to stop charges, cancel your subscription through Apple separately. Apple’s account-deletion guidance distinguishes removing an app account from ending an auto-renewing subscription.

Review the Posts tab for anything scheduled. If you want an independent copy of a finished recording, save or share it and check that the copy plays before deleting the account or removing the app.

Start deletion in the app

  1. Open Settings in Lightshot.
  2. Open your account under Account.
  3. Tap Delete account….
  4. Read the confirmation and continue only when you intend to remove that account.

What deletion removes and what stays

Account deletion disconnects social accounts, cancels scheduled posts, and deletes videos waiting to post from Lightshot’s server. Posts already published remain on their destinations; manage those in the destination service.

Scripts, takes and edits remain in that account’s local folder on this iPhone. Another account, including a new account created after deletion, cannot open that library. Export wanted copies before deleting the account; sign-in is not a backup. Deleting the Lightshot app removes the takes stored inside it. See storage help before removing local work, and the privacy policy for the account and posting data scope.

If you only need to leave the account on this phone, Sign out is a separate action. Signing out keeps the files on this phone but closes studio access. Sign back in to the same account to record, edit and post with an active subscription. If you cannot reach the account screen, contact support for help.
