Representative scenario, not a customer story
Imagine a repair-shop owner closing on Saturday. Customers keep asking what to bring when dropping off an item, and the same explanation has been typed into several messages. The owner opens the camera to make a reusable answer, then starts listing every service the shop provides and loses the point.
What video should a small business make first?
An answer to one question customers already ask, with a clear place to stop. The task is modest: explain what a customer should bring for a drop-off. Put the actual requirement in the opening line. Show an example of the item or document if that makes the instruction clearer. End by saying where the customer can confirm current hours or arrange the visit.
The short-script outline helps keep one answer within the intended duration. A customer-service explanation does not need a new brand story each time. Save service introductions for another recording.
How do you turn an email reply into a video script?
Start from the reply itself and rewrite only the parts that need a reader. Use Paste as new script with the reply you already send, then replace any wording that only works in an email. Read it aloud once. Remove sentences that answer a different question, especially a long list of exceptions that should be handled individually.
When more than one question is ready, the batch-recording guide provides a sequence. For this evening, one complete answer is a sensible finish. A list of unfinished scripts does not yet help the person preparing a visit.
Keep the useful pauses and check the instructions
Film the explanation with the required wording under the camera. If you lose your place, pause the recorder, settle the prop and continue. Voice-follow waits on the prepared script when speech pauses; you still need to rehearse it with the language and microphone available on your phone.
After finishing, tap Auto edit to cut silences and generate captions on the iPhone. Play the result before accepting it. A pause while you point to a receipt might be useful even if a quiet interval elsewhere is not.
Correct the caption text where a part name or service term has been misheard. W3C’s caption guidance includes meaningful sounds and accuracy review, beyond simply displaying recognized speech. Watch the clip with sound off to find any instruction that has become unclear.
Can the video show your booking page?
Yes, as a screen recording you narrate over. If the question is where to enter a repair request, capture that screen using Apple’s screen-recording controls. Remove personal information from the demonstration first. A demo take can add your narration and face over that existing recording. It needs a separate narration pass and keeps the screen sequence intact rather than cutting silent stretches.
Use actual business information, not an invented customer endorsement, to make the explanation credible. The FTC’s rule against fake reviews and testimonials is one reason to keep staged examples clearly separate from customer experiences.
Put the answer where the question occurs
Save a copy using Save to Photos or Share for the place you normally send customer instructions. For public posts, scheduling can set a future time only on a supported connected destination. Review hours, availability and instructions before scheduling anything that might change.
Meta’s Instagram API documentation distinguishes professional accounts from personal accounts. Its Facebook Reels publishing documentation concerns Pages. In Lightshot, Instagram is built for Business or Creator accounts and Facebook for Page Reels. Settings › Connected accounts shows the networks currently available; platform approval can limit access. Posting references checked September 27, 2026.
End with an answer you can send again
The repair-shop scenario is complete when the owner has checked that the instruction matches the actual drop-off process and has a saved file ready to share. Later, record a replacement when that process changes. This workflow makes no prediction about sales, bookings or audience growth.
Weigh that recurring task against the weekly, monthly and yearly plans. A product launch or taught lesson needs a different outline; those are in the other audience pages.
