Competitor facts were checked on October 8, 2026, on each vendor’s own pages and its US App Store listing; Lightshot’s side comes from the app. This compares documentation, not measured accuracy or speed. “Not found” means we didn’t find it in their documentation, which is weaker than “no”. Prices and plans change.

BIGVU column: its pricing page and US App Store listing (rating and count from Apple’s lookup service), read October 8, 2026. The pricing page showed two plan tables (Free, AI Pro, Max and Super Agent; and Free, Starter, AI Pro and Max), and we couldn’t tell which one a given visitor sees.

Lightshot’s column comes from the app. The networks you can connect are listed in Settings, Connected accounts; each network has to approve Lightshot first, and TikTok and YouTube posts stay private until those reviews pass. Lightshot has no App Store ratings yet.

Does BIGVU follow your words or your silence?

A prompter that stops when you go quiet doesn’t know which word you’re on. BIGVU’s mobile teleprompter page described an adjustable speed that pauses when you pause when we read it on September 27, 2026. We didn’t re-read that page on October 8, so treat the description as dated, not contradicted.

Lightshot’s voice-follow uses recognized script words to correct its place while it moves at the pace it learned from you, and holds at the next unread word while you ad-lib. Accents, microphones and rooms still need testing on your own phone.

Correct one sentence or keep another take?

With Lightshot you pause and tap Redo the last sentence. The take is cut back to the start of that sentence and the script returns there, so the good delivery before it stays. When that sentence started before your last pause, the redo removes the whole latest part.

BIGVU’s App Store listing describes capturing multiple takes and choosing the best. That suits a presenter who prefers whole alternative performances. We didn’t find a sentence-level trim in what we read.

Where BIGVU may fit better

BIGVU’s Free plan lists “Schedule to all social channels” and “Connect all social channels”, so you can try scheduling before paying anything. Lightshot asks for a subscription first, and its posting depends on each network approving it.

Its AI Pro plan lists a “Full AI edit suite (Eye Contact, Background Replace, B-rolls, Split Screens)” and “Team workspace + roles”. If several people produce your videos, or you want avatars and eye-contact correction, BIGVU covers jobs Lightshot doesn’t attempt: Lightshot never generates a presenter, clones a voice or redraws your eyes.

It also runs on Android and the web, and its App Store listing names Twitter among the places it posts. Lightshot reaches X only through the iPhone’s share sheet.

Where Lightshot may fit better

For one person filming on an iPhone, Lightshot keeps the finish on the phone. Auto edit cuts silences and adds captions when you tap it, with nothing to meter, and the editor works on that one take. Posting is the step that uploads the finished video; the privacy policy explains what stays on the iPhone.

Lightshot has a single feature set across its weekly, monthly and yearly plans. BIGVU spreads its tools across Starter, AI Pro, Max and Super Agent, so compare the plan that holds the tools you need rather than its headline price. The posting page explains Lightshot’s approval caveat, and the mistake-recovery guide shows the redo in a real recording.
